TaipeiPLAS 2026 Opens Visitor Pre-registration, Spotlighting Smart Upgrades in Plastics and Rubber Industry

Organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI), the "Taipei International Plastics and Rubber Industry Show (TaipeiPLAS)" will be held from September 15 to 19, 2026, at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1. Online pre-registration for visitors is now open, inviting domestic and international professionals to seize opportunities in industry upgrades and market development. This year's exhibition theme, "Form to Future," focuses on three major pillars: "Smart Manufacturing," "Innovative Materials," and "Sustainability & Circularity," showcasing the latest advancements in process upgrading and application expansion within the plastic and rubber industries.

In 2025, Taiwan's exports of plastic and rubber processing machinery reached US$825 million, a 4.6% increase compared to 2024. This indicates a stabilizing export momentum and a gradual recovery in market demand, driving a moderate economic rebound for the industry. Amid the ongoing global supply chain adjustments, manufacturers are accelerating production line upgrades and technological transformations, integrating automation and digital applications to strengthen overall competitiveness. From equipment connectivity and data monitoring to process optimization, these advancements not only enhance production efficiency but also further stabilize product quality. Furthermore, material applications are evolving toward high performance and diversification, continuously expanding their reach across various industries.

TaipeiPLAS 2026 expects to host 330 exhibitors using approximately 1,500 booths, covering fields such as material innovation, precision molding, and process optimization. This includes the application of recycled and bio-based materials, upgrades in injection molding technology, and various automated equipment and peripheral systems, presenting a comprehensive view of the upstream and downstream technologies and applications within the industry chain. Leading domestic exhibitors include Victor Taichung, FCS, Huarong, Chuan Lih Fa (CLF), Everlight Chemical, and Great Eastern Resins. International participants such as ARBURG, WITTMANN BATTENFELD, ENGEL, and igus will also showcase their latest products and technologies.

A series of concurrent events will be held during the exhibition, including one-on-one procurement matchmaking meetings, industry application forums, themed guided tours, and the TaipeiPLAS Award ceremony and cocktail reception. These activities aim to facilitate exchange and collaboration between exhibitors and international buyers, providing an essential venue for grasping market trends and expanding business opportunities. As a premier annual event, TaipeiPLAS serves not only as a stage for technology and product demonstrations but also as a key platform for companies to strategize their international market presence and expand partnerships.
